Dear Spoon,

Sorry I havent written in so long but things have been pretty crazy. We finally got to the bottom of the thing with the demonic mosquitoes, it turns out this insane magician was breeding them & some escaped. We tracked him down & made him summon them all back again, I got a couple bites but don't worry, theyre already healing up.

Its good to be back in the USA but I'm starting to miss the Academy, does that make any sense at all? Being a Slayer's different when your on your own. Please tell everyone I said hi especially Sarge, tell him I'm working hard & remembering the training.

Anyway I have to run, I'm patrolling in about twenty minutes & gotta gear up -- bringing my wristblades!

Glad to hear from you! Things have been pretty quiet here, if you discount the goats getting sick. Cora and Penny are catching up to their peers very quickly, especially now that Penny has a suit that lets her touch things without cutting them.

I'm glad to hear that you're alright. Be sure to check those bites so that they don't get infected or something. Wouldn't want me favourite Slayer to have demon infection. If it even exists.

I'll tell everyone hi for you, of course. I understand, sometimes I still miss the army. Sometimes. Back when I was a grunt and all.

Thanks for sending the pics, I love the one of Cora with the goats, so cute!! And I never got to see Penny before, she's really pretty. Sorry I don't have any pics to send you back, maybe I'll try & get some for next time altho I don't know what you might want to see.

Meanwhile theres some local nasty digging up graves, we thought at first it was vampires I was missing but their definately being dug from outside not from underneath. Cristofer, he's my Watcher, he thinks it's either necromancers or ghouls but we can't really know without more info so we're working on finding any of the remains. I said maybe its someone trying to make a Frankinstein & he said that could qualify as either one, I think that was suposed to be a joke. Cristofer's nice but kind of wierd sometimes.

I talked to my dad yesterday for the first time in months & he wants to know if I can come home for thanksgiving, thats aloud isnt it? If nothing really serious is going on here?

Dear Jordie,

Be careful with Necromancers. They're nasty types. Ghouls, too, but usually not as bright as Necromancers. Actually just be careful. In general. Try staring blankly at Cristofer whenever he acts too weird. If nothing else it should get him to start thinking before he talks. (really badly drawn happy-face goes here)

Send pictures of anything you like. I love getting them at all. Make sure to send some of you! Penny has taken up scrap-booking so if you send lots I can send you back a scrap-book of your own pictures later.

I think it's allowed. I'll check with da' and call your mobile as soon as I know.

I packed some biscuits from mum's bakery, hopefully the American customs will let them through without eating them all.

Dear Spoon,

Got your phone message! Cristofer okayed going home for thanksgiving, airline tickets cost too much so I'm gonna take greyhound.

Don't know how much free time I'm gonna have when I get back, things will probly be getting busyer but we'll see, I'll keep writing when I can.
